「到得人家盡處，依然水接天涯」，這句詞可為伊達邵的寫照。日月潭景緻幽美，昔日邵族人繞嶼以居，湖光山色，艋甲往來，杵音歌聲，繞揚在雲水飛動里，乃有別一洞天的稱譽。
　　一間真正由邵族族人築起的民宿，以原住民風格為主要設計，並以貓頭鷹為主要吉祥物，從招牌設計、大廳壁畫都可清楚瞧見貓頭鷹的蹤跡，搭配象徵自然的木頭元素和原住民的傳統繽紛圖騰，展現自然的清新氣息。
　　客房以原住民傳統的古語為房間命名，整面的落地玻璃如畫一般完全展示出戶外景緻，依照時序、光線變化而有著不同的迷人景象，令人目不轉睛，也讓下榻於此的旅人們都能享受到真正沉靜溫馨的舒適氣息。

Hotel charmant, très bien tenu par une famille sympathique et attentive aux besoins de sa clientèle. Chambre grande, claire, très bien équipée. Le petit déjeuner est soigné. Ita Thao est un endroit calme en bordure du lac avec de nombreuses activités de détente. Une étape à recommander pour cet accueil excellent.

We love this small inn. it gives us the family warmness. All staff are so helpful and polite. The facility is very clean and organized well, specially the breakfast is very delicious! We feel lucky to find this small inn to stay and had spent 4 night there. Definately will come back to stay in future!
